Terra Botanica welcomes students from the horticultural sector

Since November 2017, the park has been welcoming students in horticulture training who participate in the maintenance of the plants. Terra Botanica is thus becoming a place for knowledge transmission, training and experimentation. In total, nearly 430 students from 11 horticulture schools will come to work in the park. The nature of the work carried out is defined in advance with each teaching team, which allows the trainers to approach the subject beforehand and to carry out a concrete case study in the park.

Students from the MFR in Chalonnes-sur-Loire and the Lycée Le Fresne were able to participate in the planting of 42,000 tulip bulbs and 14,000 biennials among the 150,000 bulbs that you will be able to see in the spring.

The ESA students will be able to participate in the wintering of the plants and in the development of the motor home area. The MFRs of Champigné and Beaupréau will work on preparing the beds and pruning the plants.

The park will receive students on specific days until June 2018, allowing them to improve their skills alongside our landscapers and to follow the evolution of the plants over several seasons.

See you at the Printemps de Terra on April1st and 2nd to admire their work!
