Two new aerialists at Terra Botanica

23.09.2016

Who wouldn't dream of flying the world's largest gas balloon?

It is with this idea in mind that Romain and Julie have followed a specific training to take control of the Terra Botanica balloon.

With the support and backing of the park, our two balloonists spent several months training to obtain their free balloon pilot's licence and then the declaration of competence level required for this type of aircraft.

Starting with hot air balloon flights (about 20 hours of flying under their belt), they were then able to train specifically on the park's tethered balloon.

Depending on the weather for the practical training part of their exam, it was a long and delicate training that they are very happy to see end.

In fact, you may have already flown with them at Terra Botanica.

Although they did not yet have their diploma at the beginning of the season, they were still allowed to fly in pairs with another holder.

Since obtaining their licence, they can now fly on their own, alone and in total freedom.

But don't worry, it is in your company that they enjoy flying the most to share their passion with you.
